Donation Drive Duties
Communicate Effectively
Communicate with the public in a friendly and positive way to maximize donations.
Stand at Store Exits
Be at the exits of popular grocery and retail stores to interact with potential donors.
Fundraising
Ask for donations from the public to support Veteran Support Team of America's mission.
Educate
Inform the public about the Veteran Support Team of America's mission and its programs.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of Veteran Resources
A basic understanding of homeless Veterans housing and social services and programs is important to ensure you're providing the most relevant assistance.
Transportation
You'll need reliable transportation to and from scheduled Event locations. The team will be traveling around the city, so be prepared to drive!
Organization and Tracking
You will track hours, funds raised, and general feedback to the Team Manager. These tasks will help us improve our fundraising events for future years.
Event in a Box Campaign
Our Event in a Box Campaign is an innovative and engaging way to increase fundraising and awareness for our efforts to support veterans. We’ll provide you with an easy-to-use “Event in a Box” toolkit that includes everything you need to run a successful fundraising event, from marketing materials to QR codes for online donations.
You’ll also be provided with all the training you need to collect cash donations, explain how to donate online, and to keep track of the total amount raised.
A Typical Day

Check In
Call your local team operator or check in with your team manager for event assignments and location details.

Arrive Early
Arrive at your scheduled site location at least 30 minutes prior to your start time.

Clock In & Prepare
Clock in on time and meet your team manager for daily assignments. Ask for help as needed. Come prepared, well-groomed, and in uniform with your ID badge.
